The annual Padma Run Bali 2025, organised by Padma Hotels, was successfully held, bringing together fitness enthusiasts and community supporters in a spirited event that combined wellness with purpose. This year’s event raised an impressive total of IDR 113,484,780, which has been donated to support education and environmental sustainability in several villages across Payangan, Gianyar.On Wednesday, 30 July 2025, a donation ceremony took place at Sekolah Dasar (Elementary School) Negeri 2 Puhu, attended by community leaders, school representatives, and the Padma Hotels team. The event concluded with a school tour, highlighting facilities scheduled for renovation.The funds raised through Padma Run Bali 2025 were allocated to renovating school facilities and providing two operational laptops to Sekolah Dasar (Elementary School) Negeri 2 Puhu. Additionally, 40 sets of organic and inorganic waste bins were distributed to multiple banjar (local community organizations in Bali) within Payangan, reinforcing efforts toward better waste management and environmental care.“The donation provided by Padma Hotels to Sekolah Dasar Negeri 2 Puhu is not just a one-time contribution. In previous years, we have also received numerous forms of assistance from Padma Hotels, including facilities, infrastructure, goods, and services to support education in our school. When the morning mist lifted over Payangan Village on 4 May 2025, it revealed more than just verdant valleys—it unveiled the spirit of a global community bound by purpose, passion, and a love for running. Padma Run Bali 2025 wasn’t merely an extension of our signature series; it was a bold new chapter in Padma Hotels’ commitment towards Padma GIVE (Grant, Inspire, Volunteer Empower).Padma Run Bali offers three main race categories, including: 10K, 5K, and Kids Dash, catering to all kinds of runners. The 10K course was designed for seasoned runners seeking a picturesque yet demanding course, the 5K course provided friendly introduction for joggers and families alike, and Kids Dash which allowed spirited sprint for our youngest champions.Awakening the Highland TrailAs the first light of dawn brushed the terraced hills, a charged hush fell over Payangan. The rhythmic clang of the countdown clock mingled with the soft strains of music, building anticipation. Barong and Kera dance, adorned in vibrant fabrics and gilded headdresses, moved in precise formations, their eyes fixed on the clock as it ticked toward race time. At exactly 6:30 AM, the digital display flickered to life—and in that instant, a plume of smoke shot skyward. The ground trembled beneath hundreds of stomping feet as the 10K runners surged forward, their collective heartbeat echoing through the highlands.Weaving Culture into Every StepRather than a sterile race course, the Bali route became a living tapestry of:Community Checkpoints: Where village children handed out their hands for a high-five, along with their bright smiles that fuel the next remaining kilometres for Padma Runners.Dance Interludes: The cheering section continued with dance interludes, where Joged dancers swung gracefully under bamboo arches at Kilometre 2.Mythical Encounters: At Kilometre 7, a playful Hanoman appearance—complete with swirling silk tail and mischievous grin—reminded everyone of Bali’s epic Ramayana legends.Penjor Pathway: From Kilometre 8 all the way to the finish line, ornate penjor poles arched overhead, their waving fronds weaving the island’s sacred symbolism into every final step.Impact That Echoes Beyond the FinishEvery stride at Padma Run Bali 2025 advanced more than personal goals, it generates real change.
