Last year, we ran English language activities for the children, and now we’re taking our efforts a step further with Recycle to Rebuild, a new project under our Padma GIVE (Grant, Inspire, Volunteer, and Empower) movement. Through this programme, guests and the Padma Family are invited to collect used plastic bottles, which are then sold to raise funds for community needs.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pg_xvBBM__o“We’re moving beyond education with this new programme,” says Ms. Gusti Ayu Chandra Dewi, the Human Resources Manager at Padma Resort Ubud. “Now, guests can participate by collecting used plastic bottles, with collection boxes conveniently placed around the resort. Our motto, ‘Every bottle counts. Every count matters,’ reflects our excitement for this initiative. We hope it will bring positive change to our community.”And the best part? We’re not just collecting bottles to sell them. We have exciting plans to repurpose these bottles and help reduce single-use waste—although we’re keeping the specifics under wraps for now. Stay tuned for a big reveal at the end of the year!At the heart of this project is our commitment to sustainability and building a deeper connection between our guests and the local community. Through this programme, we’re inviting everyone to be part of something meaningful, proving that a luxury experience can also make a positive impact on the environment and the people who call Bali home. So, next time you stay with us, don’t forget to drop off a bottle or two—you’ll be helping us make a real difference!
