Asian Food Stalls Come Alive at Padma Resort Legian

Being around for over 30 years, our beachfront destination, Padma Resort Legian, has captured the hearts of countless guests, particularly through its exceptional dining offerings. The buffet breakfast at our main dining outlet, DONBIU Restaurant, has received widespread popularity on social media and continues to attract even non-staying guests. Beyond the well-known breakfast, the venue is renowned for its themed buffet dinners. Long-time guests will be familiar with the diverse range of cuisines, from traditional Balinese and Indonesian to the flavours of Italy. Recently, the resort has elevated its buffet dinner experience with the introduction of Asian Night.

Unlike other themed dinners, Asian Night invites guests to enjoy not only a delicious menu but also a street food corner that mimics typical Asian hawker stalls. Indulge in a wide array of dishes from Chinese, Japanese, Peranakan, Indian, and Indonesian cuisines, each paying tribute to Asia’s unique culinary heritage.

Takoyaki in Japanese corner

Experience the delights of a Chinese food market with offerings like various dim sum, peking duck, and chashu pork. For those craving something soupy, the Singaporean corner features the nation’s comfort dish, laksa. Transport yourself to Japan with fresh sushi, nigiri, takoyaki, chicken teriyaki, and tempura. And if you are a fan of spices and rich flavours, a lineup of Indian dishes like chicken tikka, black pepper lamb masala, and paneer masaledar are ready to satisfy your palate.

Lastly, savour the true culinary delights of Indonesia with local favourites such as assorted satay, martabak telur (Indonesian omelette), and other beloved dishes. Finish your meal with the sweet indulgence of es campur buah (mix fruit shaved ice), various jajan pasar (traditional cakes), klepon cake, cendol mousse, or martabak manis – Indonesian pancakes filled with delicious fillings, also known in Bali as Terang Bulan (the shining moon).

Martabak Manis in Indonesian corner

To enhance the experience, there are performances such as fire dances, a lively Bhangra dance, Malenggang dance, and acoustic live music – all contributing to a truly enchanting atmosphere for an unforgettable night. Available at DONBIU Restaurant every Friday from 6PM to 9.30 PM, at IDR 450,000+/ person. For more information, please contact dining.legian@padmahotels.com.
