Originally a small year-end giveaway at Padma Resort Legian and Padma Resort Ubud, the initiative was reimagined in 2022 as 12 Days of #PadmaFestivities, drawing inspiration from the classic 12 Days of Christmas tradition. Every year, during the festive season, our mountain retreat, Padma Resort Ubud goes all out with extraordinary decorations. From Santa’s hut and illuminated deer in the Agroforestry Garden to the enchanting snow town centrepiece in the lobby, the highlight that wowed everyone last year was the magical appearance of snow in Bali, gracing the resort’s garden. Most importantly, every decoration is crafted using recycled and eco-conscious materials, carefully collected by our staff throughout the year. Their commitment to sustainability ensures that nothing goes to waste, creating a festive atmosphere that is both joyful and mindful of the environment. This dedication reflects our ongoing efforts to harmonise celebration with responsibility, making each holiday season at the resort even more special.Padma Resort Ubud's family working together to build a 6-metre-tall Christmas treeAfter several consecutive years of delighting guests with mesmerising décor, the team at Padma Resort Ubud is gearing up for this year’s holiday season with even more spectacular surprises. As you step into the lobby, you will be welcomed by charming garlands crafted from repurposed plastic bottles. In the courtyard, you will see a stunning 6-metre-tall Christmas tree, meticulously assembled from 5,200 plastic bottles, accompanied by a delightful snowman made from the same material. The star of the lobby, however, is the Christmas Market centerpiece, created by the talented team at Padma Resort Ubud using eggshells, waste coffee grounds, used egg cartons, ice cream sticks, natural sand, clay, and forest moss. We are incredibly proud of this creation and excited to share this festive joy with all our guests. But the visual delights don’t stop here.Snowman made of plastic bottlesWalking towards Payangan Lounge, you will encounter another Christmas tree, made entirely of rolls of jute ropes. At The Spa, the festive spirit continues with garlands crafted from dried leaves and corn husks, while a Christmas tree made from banana fibre rope stands proudly. The same beautiful garlands can be found at The Puhu Restaurant upstairs, where a unique tree, constructed from 80 kgs of used paper and burlap sacks, adds to the seasonal charm. As you explore the resort, you will discover even more surprises.
