Padma Run was first launched at Padma Hotel Bandung in 2019 with a mission of charity. In 2023, Padma Hotel Semarang joined for the first time, and the response was phenomenal. Since then, the event has gained momentum, captivating both professional runners and passionate hobbyists alike. Building on its success in these two cities, Padma Run has evolved into a flagship annual event for Padma Hotels. Following the tremendous enthusiasm at Padma Run Bandung earlier this year, Padma Run Semarang created a buzz recently in celebration of Padma Hotel Semarang’s second anniversary.This year’s event was bigger than ever, with tickets selling out quickly after registration opened. The event attracted major sponsorship from blibli.com, Savoria, and Mastrada Group, and BNI, along with 42 other sponsors. Media support from The Jakarta Post, Exquisite Media, Bisnis Indonesia, Hypeabis.id, Suara Merdeka, Prambors, Delta FM, Traxx FM, and Gajah Mada FM added to the event’s prominence. We also owe special thanks to the Semarang Runners community, whose partnership was invaluable.With the introduction of a new 10K route, Padma Run Semarang has become one of the city's most eagerly anticipated events. This year, over 1,200 runners from 74 cities, 5 countries, and 87 running communities took part. In keeping with the event’s tradition, the funds raised will be donated to a worthy cause. Unlike last year, which focused on enhancing school facilities, this year’s donations will support Djarum Trees for Life in their efforts to plant mangroves and trees, contributing to environmental preservation.
